amielzbth: (Panic Attacks while Driving)
So I have been forcing myself to drive even if most of the driving has been around the block.  This whole ordeal with me panicking behind the wheel has to stop.  I still see the accident in front of me, but I think its slowly starting to fade the more I drive.  Tonight I will do the same thing around the block.  I've also gotten into the habit of playing the same song over and over again on my iPod in the car.  It is the theme song to "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence".  So far it seems to work.

On Saturday I drove with Leon to get the gas for the car.  It cost twenty and change just to fill up half a tank.  Then I drove us to the IHOP on Northern where we had breakfast.  From there I drove us to the Nissan Dealership where I almost got into an accident as I was trying to prevent one because there was a woman who looked more scared than I did trying to back up into a parking space and no matter how many times I honked because I could not back up she did not stop.  So I told myself not to panic and I drove around her and was going to pull into the Nissan repair garage so that they could look at our tire when I almost crashed into the side of the garage. I stopped just in time and then just pulled into the garage.  After all was said and done I drove us home dropping Leon off in front of the building and then driving our car into our garage which was around the corner.  All in all the driving wasn't all that bad.  Poor Leon had to deal with listening to Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence for the whole time I drove.  I felt bad, but it was better than me panicking.  I could tell he was more at ease with me driving as well.

Anyway I guess that's all...
